Application Guidelines

For optimal results, follow these application steps:

• Surface Preparation: Ensure the substrate is stable, clean, dry, and free of contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, cement laitance, old sealants, and poorly bonded paint coatings.
• Priming: For porous substrates like concrete, pre-heating can increase adhesion. Non-porous substrates like metals and plastics should be cleaned and pre-treated with Sika® Aktivator-205.
• Application: Cut the tape to the required length, remove the release film, and press the tape firmly onto the substrate with a hard-wheeled roller or suitable tool.
• Overlap: Ensure overlaps are at least 50 mm.
• Enhancing Adhesion: Adhesion performance can be improved by heating Sika® MultiSeal T tape and/or the substrate during application.

Sika® MultiSeal T is available in various sizes to suit different project requirements:

• Packaging: 10 m rolls with widths of 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm, 225 mm, and 300 mm.
• Shelf Life: 24 months from the date of production when stored properly in undamaged, original, sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C.
